Watched hamilton in NYC in February 2016, listened to the OBC album. This is just a great way to develop the songs.

... but this record definitely holds up by itself. Awesome how Hamilton spreads the artistic spark on... and on... and on...

I am greatly dissapointed by this album. What sounded like a neat little idea at first sounds like a disaster now that you can hear it. It just doesn't get better than the original cast recording.

The difference between trained singers and pop stars is obvious when comparing these two albums, you hear the struggle on the mixtape - and not in a good way.
