Mehr als ein Synth, eine visuelle Programmierumgebung in futuristischem Tron Look, die einem alle Möglichkeiten des Sounddesigns lässt. Der pure Wahnsinn. iCloud Patchsync mit der Mac Version rundet die Sache ab. Genial!

Auf einem iPad is es geradezu eine Wonne mit diesem wunderschönen Programm zu arbeiten. Es sind alle Funktionen, die man sich so wünscht in einem Softwaresynthesizer auch vorhanden.
Mit Bluetooth Audiogeräten hatte ich noch ein paar Problemchen, aber daran wird schon gearbeitet.

Ich schätze Audulus ist die vielleicht vielseitigste Musik/Audio-App für IOS.
Hierbei handelt es sich nicht um einen modularen Synthesizer, sondern um eine Plattform in der man Synthesizer und Audioeffekte selber programmieren kann.
Dadurch sind die Möglichkeiten nahezu unbegrenzt.
Das bedeutet natürlich auch, das der Schwierigkeits grad sehr hoch ist, und die Lernkurve sehr steil.
Die Grundlagen sind dank guter Anleitung, Übungen und Beispielen relativ schnell gelernt, auch wenn die Einarbeitungszeit sehr lange ist.
Obwohl man sich die einzelnen Module selber bauen kann, gibt es auch eine grosse Auswahl an fertigen Modulen und Instrumenten.
Ausserdem gibt es einen Support, an dem man sich wenden kann, wenn man mit seinen Patch nicht weiter kommt. Die helfen gut und gerne.
Im Audulus Forum kann man sich auch die Patches von anderen Usern runterladen und die eigenen Patches hochladen und der Community zur Verfügung stellen.
Audulus wurde seit seinen Erscheinen schon öfters stark weiterentwickelt. Da kommt also bestimmt noch einiges!
Grundprobleme Touch-UI immer noch nicht gelöst

Audulus3 könnte ein großartiges App sein, es gibt hier massig gute Ideen und viele liebevolle Detaillösungen, die am Rechner beim Arbeiten mit Maus und Tastatur möglicherweise ihre Stärken ausspielen. Leider scheint sich der Entwickler jedoch niemals wirklich mit den speziellen UI-Erfordernissen eines iDevice auseinandergesetzt zu haben. Allein das verbinden mit Patchkabeln hat es schon in sich: Module möglichst nah positionieren, reinzoomen, verbinden - was auch oft erst beim zweiten oder dritten Anlauf klappt - und wieder rauszoomen. Andere Apps, die mit Kabeln arbeiten, wie z.B. von Korg, sind da sehr viel ergonomischer, am besten ist die Verbindung von einzelnen Modulen aber wohl bei Sunvox oder Jasuto gelöst. Auch die Drehregler sind eine Pest, bis man die mal zu " greifen" bekommt. Und was soll das mit der fast schon obligatorischen Zifferneingabe als Inputparameter bei den Oszillatoren, ein iDevice ist kein Rechner mit Tastatur und Ziffernblock. Als Zusatzoption wäre das ok, aber als erste angebotene Möglichkeit? Schade eigentlich und für mich €15 rausgeschmissenes Geld.
