※ VRPlayer Helper is embedded in your own VRPlayer app and the download URL provided by VRPlayer is your own iPhone's IP address itself not an external web server.
so iPhone and the server PC should be in the same wifi network to download Helper.
tap the "+"button at top right corner of VRPlayer and select VRPlayer Helper then you will see the URL from which you can download helper.

Die Auflösung von YouTube-Videos ist maximal 720p. Ist für VR zu wenig. Kein VR-UI im VR-Mode ist insbesondere störend bei eingeblendeter Werbung, die man nicht wegkriegt.

In general everything works fine but there is one major issue:
No VR-UI while playing videos :(
If I want to skip like 3mins of a Video or so I have to get the phone out of the vr goggles to interact with the UI. (or use the helper but therefore you Need Your pc)
Also saving the URLs used for streaming Videos in a different List, like a history list, would make more sense. Instead of showing them alongside with „Files“ and so on.
Could be the goto iOS VR Player!

Meines erachtens die beste VR Player App im AppStore. Gründe dafür sind vor allem die Möglichkeit des Streamens und die vielen Optionen zur Wiedergabe (180-360 grad, 3D SBS und HBO).
Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die Werbeeinblendungen WÄHREND der Wiedergabe. Das bei der kostenlosen Version auf Werbung gesetzt wird, ist verständlich, dies sollte aber optimaler platziert werden (z.B. vor oder nach jedem Video).

The app seems to do quite what it should. I miss full MKV support via the Helper app, though. The file plays, but I cannot access the menu for audio and subtitle language, it just plays the defaults (this way I cannot watch many of my video files, because I need the subtitles).

Who ever thought it would be a good idea to ruin the app with this insane amount of ads wile playing videos, it's not making me want to invest any money in a pro version. I mean, seriously I start the video put it in my vr and 5 sec later it opens an ad. It doesn't even pause the video and its also shown over the whole screen so you can't even see it when it's in the glasses! And so I have to open it, click the ad away and delete the app. Thanks for nothing.
