PhotoExplorer brings Flickr photo sharing to the iPad. Designed from the ground up for the larger screen, it allows you to BROWSE photos in the Flickr universe. UPLOAD photos and EDIT your photos' metadata.

- Single app compatible with iPhone and iPad.
- Designed for Flickr, but fully supports browsing and uploading photos to 500px, Picasa, ipernity, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, GoogleDrive

- Browse flickr content whether you have a flickr account or not.
- Support for viewing Flickr groups photos
- Full screen photo browser that lets you swipe through photos and zoom by pinching.
- Slideshow mode, including support for external displays (TV & AppleTV)
- Tags, exif and photo location viewing
- Search photos in Flickr : via keyword + geographic location + owned by you or a contact
- Offline mode for looking at photos while disconnected.
- A unique feature is the 'STACK'. The Stack lets you mark photos and sets from you or any other people. This stack is saved on your iPad, so that you can keep this list without having to publish it to flickr. Useful when you want to review photos later, or share them all via email
- Share photo links with friends : Single photos or sets via email, Facebook and Twitter
- Limited your-photos browsing for Facebook and Instagram

- Upload photos directly from your iPhone/iPad. Use the device's photo library as source, the camera, the Camera Connection Kit, or using iTunes drag and drop, to get photos from your computer
- At upload time you can specify : title, caption, tags, sets, groups, geo location, privacy
- Exif and GPS information is maintained when uploading
- Upload in the background while you continue to browse photos
- Edit your flickr photo's metadata and geo location from your device

Die App finde ich gerade für das Betrachten der Gruppen viel übersichtlicher und schneller als die Original-App. Schade, dass die App nicht mehr aktualisiert werden darf. Bei meinem neueren iPad funktioniert sie leider nicht mehr 100-prozentig, oft fehlt die obere Navigationsleiste.

Tatsächlich die bessere flickr-App: sinnvolle Einstellungen zu Upload und Ansicht; Zugriff auf alle Funktionen die über den Browser auch gehen und das bei deutlich weniger Speicherbelegung!

PhotoExplorer ist meine erste Wahl als App zur Nutzung von Flickr. Alles, was in der originalen Flickr App nervt, funktioniert hier.
Da es sich um eine App handelt, die mehrere Services unterstützt, ist der Einstieg etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Gleiches gilt für das Interface. Daher der Punktabzug.
Aber diese beiden Punkte werden durch die Funktionalität aufgewogen.
Leider Läuft auch die Zeit dieser tollen App ab: Aufgrund von Schwierigkeiten mit Apple gibt es seit einiger Zeit keine Updates mehr und der Entwickler hat offenbar im November 2017 die Entwicklung eingestellt. Bei der nächsten grundlegenden Architekturänderung seitens Apple – wie zuletzt bei der endgültigen Transition von 32 Bit auf 64 Bit mit iOS 11 – wird die App ihren Dienst einstellen.
Schade.

Die App, die eigentlich von Flickr kommen sollte. Schöne übersichtlich. Alben, Gruppen, alles da. Für mich der überzeugendste Punkt: Die Sammlungen. Endlich Übersicht in den unzähligen Alben. Ich habe sie nach Jahren sortiert. Fünfzig einfach superb. 👍

Wie schon der Vorgänger die in meinen Augen beste App für Flickr!
Einfache Intuitive Bedienung. Um längen besser als die Flickr App! Für mich die einzige App mit der das stöbern in den unendlichen Welten von flickr Spaß macht. Sehr Professionell programmiert. Mehrere Sprachen (Deutsch) einfach Perfekt. Danke das ihr nach dem Blockieren der letzten App das ganze neu aufgerollt habt. :-)
