Everything can be configured inside the app.
The app is preconfigured with a demo configuration so that you experience the simplicity directly after the install. (Tip: use two devices to see and feel the speed of the app.)
Optionally, JSON formatted MQTT messages can be handled.
We designed smart interactive widgets (controls) so your IoT data will be presented nice and smooth.
Under the MQTT broker settings menu we have foreseen a list with public available MQTT brokers. We are not responsible for the availability of these brokers. If the default broker is not active, please select another one of the list or configure your own.

Auf iPhone 12 Pro Max fast nicht benutzbar

Das Userinterface ist auf dem iPhone 12 Pro Max fast unbrauchbar. Mit meinem iPhone 8 war die App gut bedienbar. Aber jetzt sind Buttons alle extrem weit in den runden Ecken und dadurch nur schwer bis gar nicht erreichbar. Das muss unbedingt geändert werden! Ich vermute, dass es bei älteren Modellen das Gleiche ist.

Seit ich auf ein neues iPhone gewechselt bin, ist das Programm kaum mehr zu bedienen, da die Programm-Buttons so am Rand sitzen, dass man manchmal 10 mal tippen muss um den Button zu treffen.

Positiv: Man kann MQTT mit TLS zu einem eigenen Server nutzen, das klappt auch ganz passabel.
Negativ:
Es gibt nur eine handvoll Widgets und nicht jedes ist sinnvoll. Vor allem der Graph erlaubt zwar lange Zeiträume, aber um das Darstellen zu können müsste man die App aktiv halten und das Telefon am Standby hindern; im Hintergrund füllen sich Graphen nicht weiter. Entweder kann man numerische Werte oder Zeichenketten als Wert nutzen. Man kann einen JSON Parser dazu buchen, der kann aber auch nur einzelne Felder herausfiltern. Formeln, Stringverkettungen oder ähnliches gibt es nicht - das ist nicht flexibel.
Google Analytics ist leider auch mit drin und der Entwickler hält auch daran fest dass das eine gute Sache ist - ja sogar als professionelle Softwareentwicklung zu sehen sei. Eine Option Tracking in der Premium Variante zu deaktivieren wurde vor zwei Jahren in Aussicht gestellt, aber nie umgesetzt. Statt dessen wurde nur die Datenschutzerklärung erweitert und somit jegliche Hoffnung auf Einlenken zunichte gemacht.
Fazit: Erstmal nutzbar, aber ich hoffe auf Alternativen. Von den In-App Käufen lohnt es sich nur die Widgetbeschränkung aufzuheben. Der JSON Parser und die Backupfunktion sind das Geld nicht wert.

Lässt sich nicht komplett mit den 12er iPhones bedienen. Wäre sehr schade, wenn das nicht angepasst wird.
Nachtrag: Wenn man etwas von unten an die Buttons (Edit, Done usw.) "ranwischt", dann gehts.
Ist aber nicht perfekt.

I use this App for roundabout 1 year (mosquitto + local raspberry) and think it‘s ...
+ very useful for prototyping , debugging
+ quick and beautiful gui
But i urgently miss a datalogger-widget and easy export to excel or csv-format or somthing like that...

Not able to subscribe to anything

I am on a iPhone 11 pro. It is quite impossible to click the buttons in the corners of the screen. The app simply does not react. Unfortunately the back button on the subscribe UI does not react most of the time and if it asks for saving endlessly. That means you cannot subscribe to any item at all. Which makes the app completely unusable.

there is a small issue at the JSON converter.
the number "1,234.5" will not converted correct. Only numers till to "999.9" are correct.
Hope , it will be fixed at next version.
This is a very good app to show information, without wasting transfer bytes.

Seems not to work with thingspeak

This app is what I am looking for but sadly I cannot use it as it seems to be incompatible with the broker thingspeak.com.
I tried several combinations with SSL and without and never got a connection for more than half a second.
It would be nice to have a log message to see why the connection struggles.

… I like the fact, that you can build a prototype like gui for mqtt environments. What I like to see is the ability to connect to more than one broker, in best case at the same time.
What I very(!) dislike is, that the app bombard the network with requests to google analytics, especially if this host ist blocked. This is totally stupid. Besides this: nice app.

Best GUI editor app for MQTT so far

The GUI editor concept is very good.
The resulting GUI is very fast.
I hope that Kris will add additional widgets.
Have a look at the free Gira X1 app in demo mode. This type of gauge I am missingverx much. Also I would like to see a percentage value for the blinds within the up/down widgets and maybe some simple animated pictogram.
