..lediglich eine emulierte 303 ist genau eine zu wenig. Würde auch zusätzlich nochmal von mir aus 5,99€ per In-App-Kauf für eine weitere 303 zahlen. Fader-Automation fehlt leider auch gänzlich. Warum? 🤷♂️

You can use Pure Acid app as a ready-to-go realtime musical instrument (groove box) in your jam sessions together with Ableton Link to synchronize it with the rest of your music gear. Its bassline editing system and randomization options will be handy to create unique groovy basslines easily. Realtime master effects with XY-pad controls can add expression to your live performance. You can also use Pure Acid with AudioBus, AUM or other IAA-supporting apps to create complex and interesting sound setups.

- Fixed: Ableton Link was not working in the network between Ableton Live and Pure Acid on the newest iOS versions;
- AUv3: Midi In Channel settings bug fixed. Previously, audio units always had [Bass: Any, Drums: 10] Midi In channel setting. Now it corresponds to what you set in the standalone's global Midi In Channel settings (Settings menu);
- now you can Paste a bassline (or drums) pattern into a new pattern slot during playback right before jumping to that slot. It is helpful during live playback if you want to create several bassline (or drums) patterns by copying one to another without interrupting the playback. All you have to do is tap the destination pattern slot, and then quickly tap the Paste button right before the cursor jumps to that pattern slot.

Der Basssound kommt einer TB 303 sehr nahe und erfüllt damit bereits meine persönliche Grundanforderung an diesen Synth. Hinzu kommt eine recht üppige Effektsektion, welche auch noch durchweg brauchbar ausgestattet ist und zum Gesamtsound sehr gut passt. Abgerundet wird das mit einer Drum-Maschine, die Sounds von 808, 707 und 606 - sowie einzelne Sounds der 909 (leider nicht den Kick) bietet - auch hier ist der Klang sehr gut gelungen.
Dank Sequenzer und Mixer kann man auch mit Pure Acid alleine schon wirklich nett spielen und auch minimalistische, acidoide Tracks erstellen. Via IAA und AUv3 lässt sich Pure Acid allerdings auch wunderbar in eine DAW einbinden und somit als Bestandteil umfangreicherer Produktionen einsetzen. Die Bedienung erschließt sich jenen, welche schon einmal mit einer X0X von Roland gearbeitet haben, weitgehend von selbst.
Der Basssequencer ist erfreulicherweise extrem benutzerfreundlich - vor allem im Vergleich mit einer originalen 303. Wer noch nie eine X0X in den Händen hatte, wird aber auch durch rumprobieren schnell erste Erfolge erzielen - das ist alles keine Raketenwissenschaft. I love it!
Jammern auf hohem Niveau: Die Drum-Maschine ist in Teilen etwas „fummelig“ in der Bedienung und die 303 würde kreativ von zusätzlichen Wellenformen (gerne als In-App-Purchase) profitieren. Ein etwas bequemerer Song-Mode zur Anordnung von Pattern auf der Zeitachse würde aus Pure Acid ein (fast) vollwertiges Mini-Studio machen. Der derzeitige Song-Mode ist ausreichend und zweckmäßig - aber eben noch nicht der ganz große Wurf (Kann ich eigentlich Pattern via MIDI wechseln?). Gut ist, dass sich einige der Punkte prima für ein kommendes Update eignen.
Auf meiner Wunschliste ganz oben ist ein echter Legato-Modus. Das würde es - ähnlich wie in der alten “ReBirth RB338“ - erlauben, den Bass-Synth auch als sehr geilen Lead-Synth zu gebrauchen. Dieses Feature wäre mir einen In-App-Kauf für 2,99 EUR und einen vollwertigen Review inkl. Empfehlung auf meinen Musik-Webseiten mehr als wert.
Pure Acid ist bis dahin jeden Cent wert, wenn man den klassischen X0X-Sound liebt - und mit 14,99 eigentlich ein No-Brainer.

Eine sehr gut klingende 303 Emulation für die Hosentasche. Mit dabei noch ein an die 909 und 808 angelehnter Drumcomputer, der meiner Meinung nach auch eine super Figur abgibt. Komplette Songs lassen sich in der App leider nicht arrangieren, dafür kann man sie in jedem IOS kompatiblen Host ( NanoStudio 2, Cubasis3, etc.) als Audio Unit Plug in laden. Somit sind komplette Acid Songs kein Problem. Volle 5 Sterne...

Ich empfinde dieses typische ‚Bauw‘ als absolut authentisch klingend.
Ich möchte wahrlich zum Kauf raten, wenn man denn mit 303, 909, 808 und Co. was anfangen kann.
Ach ja - die Programmierung von Basslines geht bedientechnisch leicht von der Hand.

Da haben sich die Entwickler Mühe gegeben.
Die 303 Bassline muss sich nicht verstecken hinter den Hardware Clones... im Gegenteil! Ich finde hier hat man die Nase vorn. Effekte, Sequenzer, Drums runden die Maschine ab. Der Preis ist fast schon Diebstahl. Klar 5 Stars Software
