Beschreibung
"No Distractions" for YouTube is a Safari App Extension I built to help myself. It lets you take control over what you need to find on YouTube instead of letting the YouTube algorithms control you...!
It does this by removing video recommendations on the front page as well as the ads and 'up next' videos that appears when you search or watch a video.
On iPad, it also hides comments by default, and adds a button above the comments that you can tap to show them.
The app does not collect any data and does not send any data anywhere.

Hi all!
This update (i) fixes a bug on some iPhone and iPad dimensions that meant that some content toggles were duplicated and non-functional, (ii) simplifies the activation instructions.

Safari tells me when installed, that this app can read my password and creditcard data, even when I'm logging in... It's a pitty because it works well

I absolutely love this extension and would pay a lot more money for it! It really helps me to use youtube as a research tool. The algorithm does not steal my time with this extension.
However Youtube has once again changed its structure and thus the browser extension is dated.
Please update your script, because you have earned 5 stars!

Selbst wenn ich nur kurz auf youtube gehen wollte, wurden daraus dennoch manchmal Stunden, da ich mich immer von den vorgeschlagenen Videos verführen ließ. Die Zeiten sind jetzt vorbei.
Funktioniert also einwandfrei und lässt sich innerhalb von einer Minute installieren

Die menschliche Willenskraft ist doch recht gering, daher helfen mir solche Tools ungemein, Zeit zu sparen. Über 70% der YouTube-Videos werden über die vorgeschlagenenen Videos an der Seite geklickt und geschaut - also eigentlich Videos, die man ursprünglich gar nicht sehen wollten.
Das Tool ist mir daher ein großer Zeitsparer.
Ich würde mir noch als Zusatzfunktion wünschen, die Kommentare für immer verstecken zu können. Das ließe sich in den App-Einstellungen realisieren. Der "Toggle Comments"-Button ist leider schnell geklickt und so verschwende ich leider unnötig Zeit mit dem Lesen von Kommentaren.
Anonsten ein perfekter Zeitsparer, der sein geringes Geld mehr als wert ist!
