Schon die vorige App war super, alle Käufe von früher ließen sich problemlos kostenfrei in der neuen App freischalten, der Umzug der Datenbank hat auch ohne Probleme funktioniert.

Meet Spectre, your tiny pocket ghost password calculator. Spectre won't save your passwords or send them off to the cloud, instead it'll generate the password you want to see, just when you need it, from thin air.

Spectre's algorithm has been used to protect both personal and corporate assets for over 10 years. A cryptographic algorithm combines authenticated hashing and key derivation to ward off known and unknown attack vectors.

Neue App? Und Abo?
Ich fand die alte App super und sehe die Notwendigkeit für die neue (noch) nicht.
Außerdem -aber das mag eine persönliche Abneigung sein-, WARUM auch hier ein ABO? Ist für mich fast ein No-Go.
Einmalkauf für ein Programm oder Features: okay.
Kleine jährliche Summe für Bugfixes: okay.
Kostenpflichtiges Upgrade für neue Features: okay.
Abo wenn dauerhaft neue Daten oder Infrastruktur genutzt werden (z.B. Wetter- oder Börsenapps oder andere Passwortmanager mit Sync-Funktion): okay.
Aber jährlich über 40€ nur damit ein Programm läuft, oder Pro-Features bleiben? Klares NEIN!

Zu teuer & schlechte UX
Leider ist der Nachfolger von Masterpassword eine Verschlechterung zum Vorgänger. Das UI ist noch konfuser, zum Teil sind die Schriften viel zu klein. Bei schlechter Beleuchtung oder für ältere Menschen nicht lesbar. Ich habe einige Zeit gebraucht, um die App-Einstellungen zu finden. Und der Preis für die Vollversion ist viel zu hoch für die gebotene Funktionalität. Ich bezahle gerne für die App, aber nicht 45 Euro pro Jahr. Das ist fast so viel wie ein Medium-Abo. Maximal die Hälfte wäre angemessen.

Leider schlechter als Masterpasword
Leider ist Specter ein Rückschritt gegenüber Masterpasword:
- auf dem IPad fehlt die Matrixansicht.
- um den Benutzernahmen zu sehen muss ich die Ansicht umschalten, vorher konnte ich diesen auf einen Blick sehen. Da ich häufig Firmen und Privataccount habe, macht dies die Passwortsuche äußerst umständlich.
Ich werde erst einmal das Alte Program weiter nutzen.

Keine Verbesserung
Leider ist das neue Design für mich keine Verbesserung. Design ist kein Selbstzweck. Graue Schrift und andere Effekte machen die App für mich alten Mensch nicht nutzbar. Schade.

Teurer als die alte Version
Schön, dass es eine neue Version von Masterpassword gibt……aber schlecht, dass man nun in der Basisversion weniger damit machen kann und angezeigt bekommt als in der alten Version.
es gibt keine Pakete die man kaufen kann, sondern nur den Monatspreis oder den Jahrespreis für 44,99€, um alle Features freizuschalten.
