*** AeroWeather: for pilots, aviation enthusiasts, and everyone who is serious about the weather!
*** Current and precise weather conditions (METAR) and forecasts (TAF).
AeroWeather Pro provides quick and intuitive access to METAR and TAF for airports worldwide. Data can be shown in its original (raw) format or as fully decoded and easy understandable texts. AeroWeather Pro is helpful for weather preflight-briefings, but also to just get very precise weather. All weather data is cached for offline access.
In addition to weather data, AeroWeather Pro integrates also airport NOTAMs (provided by US FAA), webcam images around airports (provided by windy.com), FlightService access (US only), and US ATC delay information (provided by US FAA). AeroWeather Pro also offers built-in groups for earthquakes, nearby stations, and today widget (pre iOS14), which can be individually enabled on the top level view. Besides creating user groups it’s also possible to put stations on the same level user groups (e.g. home base). Depending on your needs, groups can be shown or hidden in the main list view. User groups can also be synchronized via Cloud Kit*.
The app features a built-in airport database, which includes airport data like runways, sunrise/sunset, twilight times, moon times, timezones etc.
METAR alert notifications** is another new and helpful feature to stay up-to-date. Define multiple alerts for each station with criteria like: flight rule (US NOAA), wind speed, temperature, pressure, present weather, visibility etc. Notifications will be sent to your device if the criteria is met (e.g., when flight rule becomes IFR).
Dedicated METAR/TAF** access is optionally available. METAR/TAF data will come primarily from a certified ANSP (air navigation service provider) and is provided reliably and fast from our dedicated, redundant servers (indicated by blue checkmark underneath METAR/TAF).
The AeroPix feature offers users the possibility to take quickly picture(s) of the weather at their current location.
AeroWeather Pro comes with an Apple Watch app, which shows either a list of stations as defined in the Apple Watch group or all nearby stations based on the current location. METAR and TAF are displayed for each station. In addition, you can put AeroWeather as a complication in your watch face to stay up-to-date.

Cross app subscription support is only available if iCloud (with the same Apple ID) is enabled. Previously purchased unlock features are not affected and will work with or without subscription.
Auto-renewal may be turned off at any time by going to your account settings. A payment will be charged to your iTunes account at the end of the free trial period. Your iTunes account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. No commitment - you can cancel any time.

25.April.2023 - In der Pro-Version funktioniert nach dem letzten Update das Aeroweather METAR/TAF-Widget nicht mehr „Keine Flugplätze definiert“ steht da nun permanent als Fehlermeldung.
Bei ALLEN vorherigen Updates wurde jeweils kein Inhalt mehr angezeigt, aber ein Neustart des iPhones hat das Problem immer behoben.
Dieses Phänomen haben ja schon andere Nutzer hier mehrfach reklamiert… Geholfen hat es trotzdem nichts

As enthusiastic as I used to be about this app for a decade now, as disappointed I am now. The Complications do not contain Aeroweather to choose from, whilst other apps are available to be set as complication. De-synced my watch, deleted aeroweather on my watch, deleted the app on my phone, adjusted various setting, rebooted my phone several times - no help.

Diese App nutze ich (nicht nur) bei vielen Flügen (als Passagier), um mich vorher und vor Ort über die aktuellen Bedingungen zu informieren. Meldungen von Flughäfen bzw. Flugplätzen sind nach meiner Erfahrung wesentlich zuverlässiger als manche Meldung in den gängigen Wetter-Apps. Durch viele Extras (Wetterwarnungen, Radar, Wetterkarten, Webcams) eine tolle Ergänzung zu einer Standard-Wetter-App. Die automatische Decodierung von METARs und TAFs ist für mich als Nichtpiloten klasse. Danke für eine tolle und nicht zu teure App! Nachtrag Okt. 2021: Einen Stern Abzug, weil die Synchronisation mit der Apple Watch (My List) immer noch nicht zuverlässig funktioniert. Das wurde hier schon vor zwei Jahren angesprochen. Bei mir geht es mal und mal wieder nicht. Der entsprechende Button auf der AppleWatch zeigt keine Reaktion, aber manchmal klappt’s dennoch. Auf meine Mail an Lakehorn habe ich leider keine Antwort bekommen.

Wieder ein Update und das Widget Metar/Taf ist im Einer. Das nervt extrem!!
update das oben genannte Problem ist noch immer so, Handy neu starten, dann geht es meistens weg. Gut finde ich das nicht!!!
Update heute wieder ein Update und das Widget Metar/Taf - Laden nicht möglich.
Dafür schont sich immer wieder das Meteogramm unaufgefordert in die Widgets. 🧐
Update Neustart nach dem Update - dann ist das Widget Metar/TAF wieder da. Es kann doch nicht sein, dass nach einem Update immer ein Neustart des Handys und IPad nötig ist. Das nervt! 🤨

I happily bought this app couple of years ago and and was quite satisfied with that so far,
however since they changed their model to a subscription base there is a very annoying bug with the widgets:
Everytime the App updates itself your classic METAR/TAF widget is being disabled and replaced by the METAR Plot that requires a subscription.
This can be fixed by restarting your iPhone, but if you can‘t for some reason, it basically leaves you without the widget.
Very unhappy with this error, I cannot understand why this problem wasn’t addressed yet or why previous buyers (before the subscription model) do not get a functional equivalent of the previous widget with the new METAR plot.
Please fix this, otherwise I‘d recommend to look for an alternative app.

Die App ist eigentlich gut, ABER die gebuchten Pakete stehen NICHT zur Verfügung! Der Support ist nicht in der Lage das Problem zu lösen bzw. beantwortet keinerlei Emails (bis auf die erste Support-Anfrage), danach kommt nichts mehr. Dies ist nicht nur sehr Schade sondern macht die App einfach nur überflüssig.
Alternativen gibt es genügend, deshalb besser zur Konkurrenz gehen, denn dort stehen einem die gebuchten Dienste zur Verfügung und der Support klappt auch!

Ich hatte das 'Captains'-Abonnement gekauft, dieses hat jedoch nie funktioniert. Es gab keine Möglichkeit, die entsprechenden Inhalte zu aktivieren.
Der Entwickler hat nur die üblichen Tips gegeben (Deinstallieren, Gerät zurücksetzen etc...), was jedoch keinen Erfolg brachte. Weiter fühlte sich der Entwickler aber wohl nicht verantwortlich. Er verwies mich an Apple, die wiederum mich aufgefordert hatten, mich an den Entwickler zu wenden.
Letztlich war es Apple, die das Problem gelöst haben, indem der Kaufpreis rückerstattet wurde.
Also 👍für Apple und 👎für Lakehorn.

Wirklich sehr zu empfehlende und nützliche App um das Wetter und Notams schnell nochmal unterwegs abrufen zu können. Bisher bei mir immer zuverlässig und genau auch bei Plätzen die sonst eher außerhalb des typischen Airline Streckennetzes liegen.
Die grafische Darstellung vom RWY Layout und der Farbcode bei den Notams gefallen mir außerdem ebenfalls gut.

Ich nutze die App schon lange in der kostenlosen Variante. Habe vor einiger Zeit die Pro-Version gekauft und war begeistert - auch von der Synchronisation mit der Apple Watch. Und genau das funktioniert aktuell leider überhaupt nicht mehr - ich bekomme auf der Watch immer „Leere Liste“ oder „iPhone nicht erreichbar“ angezeigt. Beides ist nicht zutreffend. Schade! Somit ist auch die tolle Komplikation nutzlos.

Die lite Ver ist schon super, ich habe die Pro Ver vor allem gekauft weil ich finde das der Entwickler das Geld definitiv verdient hat ! Außerdem bietet die Pro Ver ein paar nette Features, wie z.B die Rwy Daten mit aktueller Tail/Head/Crosswind Berechnung !

Nachdem ich seit längerer Zeit Aeroweather lite nutze, habe ich die Pro-Version geladen, obwohl ich bei der lite-Version eigentlich nichts vemisse. War gewissermaßen als Donation gemeint, da das App mehr als hilfreich ist. Die Pro-Version hat allerdings noch kleine Gimmiks, wie die Berechnung von Druck- und Dichtehöhe, sowie die Anzeige der Bahnrichtungen mit Seitenwindkomponente auf Basis der aktuellen Metar-Werte. Das Upgrade hätte ich viel früher machen sollen.
