Run and develop PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS locally on your iPad or iPhone (or an Apple Silicon Mac)
Run Apps as complex as WordPress or phpMyAdmin right on your device.
Freely choose your workspace location, in DraftCode, in a Git Client like WorkingCopy or on iCloud.
Access your PHP Web App from other Apps on your iPad while in Split Screen mode, for example Mobile Safari.
DraftCode includes the standard PHP stack including PHP extensions typically available on a server: MySQL, SQLite, PDO, Curl, OpenSSL, FTP, XML, JSON, SOAP, GD and more.
DraftCode by default includes PHP 7.3.16. (An additional runtime for PHP 8.0.28 is available as an in App purchase.)

Work with local SQLite databases.
COMPOSER
Use Composer v.2.1.12 to efficiently manage your dependencies. The package also includes an example project.

Benutze DraftCode seit mehreren Jahren. Super nützlich! Syntax-Highlighting funktioniert tadelos und ist sehr gut.
Aber: Nach dem Update funktioniert (zumindest bei mir) nicht mehr der JS console output. Vorher hat es problemlos geklappt.
Was aber nach wie vor echt fehlt ist ein Keyboard-Ausblenden-Button (was so ziemlich jede andere App hat). Gerade auf dem iphone ist es wichtig mal eben das Keyboard auszublenden um den Code im ganzen Fenster zu sehen. Jetzt muss man in DraftCode zur Dateiliste hin und wieder zurück springen um das Keyboard wegzuklappen.
Update (2023-05-19): Nach neustem Update funktioniert immer noch nicht der JS-console-output. Konkret: bei console.log(some_output) wird im SessionInspector nichts angezeigt. Früher funktionierte es ohne Probleme. Benutze iphone SE2, ios 16.4.1 (a).

Mal kurz eine Idee in PHP umsetzen und gleich testen, um den Code dann später in das Projekt einzubauen. Das ist sogar offline auf dem iPad möglich.
So kann ich ohne Ablenkung auf dem iPad arbeiten, anstatt mich am Arbeitsplatz mit anderen Arbeiten abzulenken und bin sofort nach dem ersten Einsatz von Draft Code produktiver.

Die App tut zwar was sie soll, aber für den Preis fühle ich mich betrogen.
Für ~6 € bekommt man nur PHP 5.6. Will man eine zeitgemäßere Version von PHP haben, muss man das gleiche nochmal per InApp Purchase drauf legen.
Kompatibilität zur "Inspect" App (eine JS-Console,Netzwerk- und DOM-Inspector) gibt es auch nicht.
Mein Tipp "phpwin" kommt mit PHP 7.3, allen Modulen von DraftCode, hat Kompatibilität zu anderen Apps (im Multitasking Float Mode) und kostet nix.

Bei den ersten 5 Mal konnte ich keine Plugins installieren.
Bin nach ein paar Monaten jetzt wieder mal auf die App gestoßen und siehe da... diesmal ging es?!
Aber...
- Obwohl ich in der Installation deutsch ausgewählt hatte, ist WordPress nun auf Englisch installiert...
- Das Programm stürzt immer wieder unerwartet ab. Z.B. beim Bilder laden aus der Camera Roll, beim Ausloggen, ...
In Summe schon etwas besser, aber immer noch nicht gut!

Bin sehr erstaunt was diese App leistet!
Der Webserver, PHP und Sqlite-DB laufen auf meinem "iPad2mini" stabil sowie flüssig.
Das hochladen von Dateien könnte noch etwas verbessert / vereinfacht werden, vielleicht mittels beigefügter PHP-Datei oder Ähnlichem.
Eine Art Startleiste für mehrere unterschiedliche Webseiten sowie der direkte Zugriff auf die Kamera wären auch noch sehr gut.
Also nochmal einfach SUPER und weiter so!

Ich bin erst einmal ganz zufrieden. Ich nutze es um Ideen unterwegs, quasi als Snippets umzusetzen,zu testen um sie dann zu exportieren und sie dann im größeren Projekt zu verwenden. FTP-Upload fehlt mir also erst einmal nicht.
Was aber etwas nervt ist die erweiterte Tastatur, die sich über die eigentliche Tastatur setzt. Springe ich mal hin und her zum Browser oder App und dann zurück zu draft, ist diese weg und ich muss die App neu starten um sie nutzen zu können.also ganz stabil ist die App nicht. PHP 7 Unterstützung wäre toll.

Vorab ärgert mich das dämliche Spitznamen eingeben wenn man ein Statement abgeben möchte.....
Die App ist sicherlich gut, aber wäre besser wenn der Austausch mit anderen Apps besser möglich wäre. Wenn schon kein Ftp dann wenigstens das...
Schade wäre sonst richtig gut.

Meines Erachtens die einzige App, die ohne Webzugang zum Ausprobieren des Codes auskommt. PHP ist tatsächlich inkl. und läuft! Bin schwer beeindruckt, dass das überhaupt im iOS-Kosmos möglich ist. Für das Antesten von Ideen oder das schnelle praktische Nachvollziehen von Inspirationen / Tutorials etc. absolut genial. Kein umständliches Hochladen via FTP oder so nötig! Im Grunde stellt sich nur die Frage: Warum können die anderen Apps, welche sich mit dem Thema befassen, das nicht? Mein Fazit: Hut ab und danke für dieses Hammer-Werkzeug! Unbedingt unterstützenswert was hier vorgelegt wurde! Im Grunde sollte das doch ein neuer Standart für Code-Editoren sein, dass dieser auch sofort ausführbar ist!!!

Overall it’s a nice app and you can code offline PHP, but for this price I would have expected some basic functionalities that are missing:
- a proper syntax highlighter (PHP code isn’t highlighted)
- an inline API documentation (or some sort of autocompletion)
- a better coding toolbar, for example »<» and »>« are missing but needed very often, also you have to tap three times (on, select, off) to insert special chars.
- iOS7 keyboard
On the plus side:
- offline PHP scripts
- PHP Error log

Wunderbare App, um zwischendurch mal ein paar Ideen auszuprobieren. Man kann sich unendlich viele Dateien in verschiedenen Ordnern anlegen und includieren bzw. per autoload laden lassen. Wenn man mit Klassen und Methoden arbeitet, kann man so einzelne Methoden schreiben ohne das es auf dem IPad unübersichtlich wird. Also ich finds zum zwischendurch probieren ok :)

since there is no possibility to organize your files in folders it's really only suitable for checking quick drafts. folder could maken this a teal useful tool. at the moment zodiac is still cooler...
