Video quality
All videos are rendered in super low quality and there's no option to change. It gets better if 'something' forces a different stream to load (like using AirPlay and sometimes PiP)

Feature Request Videos hang on scrub
I want to be able to view videos in a separate window. Fullscreen is too intrusive, and the non-fullscreen view is too small.
Would be cool to have it in a separate window like it was a quicktime player.

The sessions are unwatchable due to how low quality the videos are. Watching on the web the quality is fine.

Crashes; horrible UX
Crashes on 15.7.3, wont even start most of the time. Listening to talks is great (b/c you wont get the info anywhere else)! bookmarking with timestap, yeah YT does that too. See the transcription progressing? Nice, but also: needed! These are techies, not teachers.
What really bugs me: they talk about how you can improve your apps for literally weeks - which obviously the devs for this app never heard! No way to sort bookmarks, no folders, no comments? Few apps felt less "apple" than this. Come on! So much high quality information - and such a half-assed app... why Apple?

Traurige Mac App
Es ist traurig, wie schlecht diese App auf dem Mac immer noch ist!
- Das Videofebster hat eine feste Größe (zu klein), egal wie groß, das Fenster drum herum ist.
- Das Video startet immer in miserabler Qualität, besonder bei Fullscreen-Anzeige kaum auszuhalten.
- Man kann keine Text in den Beschreibungen der Videos oder den Titel der Videos selektieren und kopieren.
- Man kann Videos in der Liste nicht markieren und ein Lesezeichen setzen, sondern muss jede Video-Seite einzeln dafür aufrufen.
Wenn das ein Besipiel dafür sein soll, wie gut Entwickler mit Mac Catalyst Mac Apps schreiben können, dann ist das kräftig nach hinten losgegangen.
Schade, dass ausgerechnet die Developer App so ein schlechtes Beispiel liefert!

Also ich finde dass es eigentlich logisch wäre, dass man die WWDC 2022 in der App anschauen kann. BAer nein, das geht nicht. Des Weiteren spielen Videos lediglich in einer SD Auflösung und man kann diese auch nicht im Vollbildmodus anschauen. Furchtbar!

Onboarding eine katastrophe
Der onboarding Prozess für einen Apple Entwickler Account ist eine reine Farce. Mal lässt sich der Account mit iTunes Guthaben bezahlen, mal kommt es zu abstürzen oder der Prozess hängt sich auf. Bei Klick auf Enroll Now passiert erstmal nichts weiter, erst wenn die App gekillt und der Vorgang wiederholt wird, kommt man weiter. Ebenso gibt es starke Unterschiede zur Weboberfläche. Dort lässt sich in Deutschland nur per Kreditkarte zahlen. Nach der Bestellbestätigung ist es schon häufiger vorgekommen, dass eine Email mit Rückfragen geschickt wird, auf die man telefonisch antworten soll, selbstverständlich wird keine Telefonnummer mit angegeben und eine reply Mail ist nicht möglich. Insgesamt ist AppStore Connect und der Apple Entwickler Account für mich mit Abstand das schwächste Apple Produkt.

Great app
I really like the app, but I am missing following feature:
I usually bookmark all sessions I am interested in, but many of them I already watched. So when I am looking to watch another session, I would like to have the option to see only the bookmarked AND not-watched sessions.

There are extra pages for code to each video but it's not possible to copy it... Is this on purpose?
Also the automatic video quality is really really annoying. Why can't I set it to the resolution that I want to view?

Alles nur in Englisch
Sehr schade das alles nur in englischer Sprache gehalten ist, für mich leider unbrauchbar da mir mit meinen Englischen Wortschatz und keiner Erfahrung von dem Programmieren die Tür verschlossen bleibt, sicher hätte ich auch ein paar Ideen gehabt für Apps die ich leider so nicht wirklich umsetzen kann 🤷♂️

Langsame Verbesserungen
Mit dem neuesten Update gibt es nun wenigstens (offenbar standardmäßig) keine störende Toolbar oder so etwas, wenn man die App im Vollbildmodus nutzt und ein Video im Vollbildmodus anschaut. Es ist aber immer noch unverständlich, warum ich zwei Klicks benötige, um ein Video aus dem Standard-Fensterbetrieb in den echten Vollbildmodus zu bekommen. Warum kann ich kein Video im echten Vollbild sehen, ohne die App in den Vollbildmodus zu versetzen? Das ist schwach und steht vermutlich exemplarisch für die verbleibenden Schwächen im Catalyst-Framework.

- kleine Schriften
- mittelgraue Schrift auf ein wenig hellerem Hintergrund
- es ist komplett unmöglich zu erkennen, was klickbar ist und was nicht

App startet und beendet sich sofort wieder (System 10.15.7). Und das Programm hat noch einen Fehler: Could not instantiate class named _UITableCellImageView because no class named _UITableCellImageView was found; the class needs to be defined in source code or linked in from a library (ensure the class is part of the correct target)

Die App ist auf dem Mac das komplette Gegenteil von dem, was mir der Inhalt der App vermitteln will, wie eine gute App auszusehen hat.
Es passt nichts, 0 Mac-Anpassung, dass ist gerade für jemanden der sich mit der App bessere Design-Skills aneignen will ein Tritt ins Gesicht.
Mir wird in einer abgrundtief schlecht-aussehenden App erklärt, wie meine Apps auszusehen haben.

Fullscreen is supported..
.. to anyone complaining about the app not running in true fullscreen if you set it to: there is an option in the View menu called "Hide Toolbar" and what it does is *hide the toolbar in fullscreen*.
Has any of you actually even tried before writing a negative review?
As for the over-all app, it's a good start but it could use some more organization features - it's hard to find specific videos in a given category!

Why so buggy?!
Been downloading, not watching the phone, then the screen goes black and when I unlock again app got terminated. All started downloads got purged?! So I not only have not downloaded but it also got pruned and reset so I don’t even remember what I was downloading. Doesn’t it keep partially downloaded movies? It did before.
And the UX was better before!

Missing fullscreen for videos
Hello, I'm missing the option to have the video e.g. WWDC2020 at full screen. Even if I use the make it bigger option, there is an anoying top bar visible that states Apple Developer in light gray and some action buttons. Why this is not disappearing like the video play UI, it looks so anoying, can't concentrate on the video, I always must look at that light gray top bar. Please fix that.

Ich habe Fragen.
App-Kritik im Stile rethorischer Fragen:
Warum kann ich nicht mit einer Wisch-Geste zurück navigieren?
Warum kann ich ein Video per Pinch-Geste vergrößern aber nicht verkleinern?
Warum ist die Schrift so winzig, dass man sie kaum lesen kann?
Warum „flackert“ der View, wenn ich die gleiche Kategorie erneut auswähle?
Warum ist der Zurück-Button nicht optisch mittig ausgerichtet? (Der Pfeil nach links müsste zwei Pixel nach links.)
Diese App ist meines Erachtens eine Frechheit, diese App tritt Barrierefreiheit und Benutzerfreundlichkeit mit den Füßen.

Unknown Error
I have no idea why but everytime I try to sign in with my Apple ID it keeps saying “Unknown Error”. That’s just stupid because how am I supposed to fix it when it says Unknown Error like it doesn’t even know what’s wrong itself. So stupid.

This does not work well on Mac
This seems like a "brute-force" port of the iOS app and the usavbility is very bad on a Mac like that. Is that the future of Mac OS? What are you doing, Apple?

Poor Mac Support
Come on, you should do better! Who is porting this iOS App to Mac? As a lot of others have already pointed out – this app does not feel like a native Mac OS app! And if there is no real preference to set font sizes, how about Cmd-PLUS and Cmd-MINUS to change font size for a start like in any decent browser?

Wrong language
I can't say anything about the app at all, because for some reason the app decided to view all text (incl. menu, etc.) in Pinyin (Mandarin), which I cannot read.
I have the same problem with the iPhone version of this app.
Please fix this problem (on iOS and MacOS), Apple. I really want to be able to use this app.

Not very Mac-like
This app feels in so many regards not like a real mac app: Text is too small and not scalable, UI elements don’t respect design of native ui elements, video controls look weirdly scaled down. If this is a catalyst app, maybe even electron would have been an option? Certainly does not feel like a 1. party app.

Nur ab macOS 10.15 (Catalina)
Warum erst ab 10.15? Vermutlich, damit keine echte macOS App geschrieben werden musste, sondern die iPad App verwendet werden konnte.
Leider darf ich meinen Mac Pro 2010 gar nicht auf Catalina aktualisieren, da helfen auch zwei Prozessoren, 24 GB RAM, eine neue Metal-fähige Grafikkarte, 1 TB SSD und drei weitere HDDs nicht.

Leider gibt es keinen Vollbildmodus für Videos. Es wird zwar vollflächig im Fenster angezeigt, aber nicht Vollbild über den gesamten Monitor.

Wie schon bei der Swift Playgrounds App für den Mac gibt es auch hier wieder keinerlei Möglichkeit die Schriftgröße einzustellen und lesbar zu machen.
Für Apple, das immer großen Wert auf Accessability legt, ein Armutszeugnis.

Diese App ist nur für Entwickler!! Heißt: Konsumenten, wie ihr, habt da keinen Zugriff drauf. Zudem könntet ihr wahrscheinlich eh nicht viel mit dem ganzen anfangen und, wenn ihr die WWDC von 2011 oder 2012 sehen wollt, könnt ihr das auch über die Apple Webseite machen, also zieht das hier nicht runter!

Perfektes Design
Perfektes Design von Jonathan Ive, wenn ich mir das Logo der App anschaue, das lässt auf iOS7 richtig hoffen.
Klar der eine wird es nicht mögen, der andere wird sich schnell zurecht finden.
Ich denke es wird für das Auge übersichtlicher, ruhiger, man kommt schneller auf den Punkt: Klarheit in Sicht ;-)
