Das ist schonmal ein toller Ansatz. Mich stören die vorgegebenen Tags etwas und in der iOS App vermisse ich die freie Dateiauswahl. Die Beschränkung auf die Fotos in der Mediathek stört mich doch schon.
Aber, es wird ja weiter entwickelt…

Eine wirklich tolle App
das wirklich gute an der App ist die Werbefreiheit und der Radius der erreichten Fotografen rund um den Globus. Das macht so richtig Spaß.

Endlich!
Die App ist das, was ich mir seit Jahren wünsche. Total einfach und intuitiv, ohne nervige Videos, Werbung und fragwürdige Algorithmen. Einfach nur Bilder gucken und selbst Bilder posten, ohne das ganze Influencer-Gedöns. DANKE 🙏

Noch nicht ausgereift.
Leider kann noch nicht den immer schlechter werdenden Instagram. Wenig Funktionen, sehr langsam, vorgegebene Hashtags und wenig flexibel. Ich hoffe, dass die App in Zukunft besser wird.

Pure Fotos
Endlich wieder einfach nur Fotos genießen. Ohne Ablenkung, ohne Werbung, ohne komplizierten Algorithmus. Die vorgegebenen und maximale Auswahl von 3 Hashtagsfind ich klasse. Beschränkung auf das wesentliche durch und durch.
Man merkt das die App noch am Anfang steht. Hier und da hakt es manchmal. Aber es stört kaum. Und die Roadmap klingt vielversprechend.

Altes Instagram Potential
Eine reine Fotoapp die Lust auf mehr macht. Es ist nicht perfekt, aber mit ganz viel Potential, das alte Instagram zu werden. Freie Auswahl der Hashtags wären super.

Schon jetzt unverzichtbar
Endlich eine Alternative zu Instagram! Die App ist zwar, was den Funktionsumfang betrifft, noch nicht perfekt, aber der Anfang ist schon mal richtig gut. Während bei Instagram die Fotografie immer mehr in den Hintergrund tritt, geht es hier nur um Fotos. Und erfreulicherweise ist die Community hier bislang sehr aktiv. Sehr erfrischend ist es, dass hier niemand Videos hochladen kann. Schon nach ein paar Tagen Nutzung möchte ich nicht mehr auf diese App verzichten.
Wenn das Konzept so weiterentwickelt wird, kann ich mir auch vorstellen, in die Bezahlvariante zu wechseln. Die ist allerdings nach meinem Geschmack etwas zu teuer.

What Instagram should have been
What a great, new photocentric app. No algorithm, no crop, no ads, no reels, no influencers. Just plain old photography the way it was envisioned by their artists, presented in a clean UI. Obviously, this young platform still has a lot to improve, especially some functions we have so gotten used to (messaging, carousels, saved posts), but I firmly believe every supporter now will help its further development. Chapeau to the small developer team! I’m excited for where this is headed!

Back to the Roots
Schön dass sich diese App wieder auf den eigentlichen Part „Fotos“ fokussiert. Es geht nicht um Likes (obwohl diese gegeben werden können, aber nur sichtbar für den Fotoeinsteller) und Influencer. Es geht um Geschichten und schöne Bilder. Wirklich sehr angenehmes Abheben gegenüber Instagram. Der Abschied dort ist mir nicht schwer gefallen und ich bin froh dort weg zu sein. Danke für diese App 🙏

Nur Fotos und das ist gut so
Sehr schön gestaltete App, die Fotos werden gut präsentiert. Man kann die Anzahl der Likes und Follower nur bei den eigenen Fotos sehen, auch damit hebt sich Foto sehr positiv von den anderen Plattformen ab. Foto ist zudem werbefrei und es gibt keine reels/Videos/Influencer-nonsense, perfekt! Einziger Nachteil: Aktuell ist die Suchfunktion noch sehr eingeschränkt, soll aber demnächst verbessert werden

Simple and beautiful
A wonderful new platform for Photography without adds or algorithms. It is simple, nice to use it’s only for photos and not like all the other platforms that switch to videos. I was in the beta testing program and was amazed from the start on! So if you’re into photography, go, switch to the foto app! You won’t regret it.

Durchdachte App für Menschen die Fotos lieben
Fotos und Fotografie im Mittelpunkt. Keine Videos, keine Werbung, kein Algorhytus der dir drine Zeit klauen will. Uch freue mich wenn man bald hoffe tlich gescheit nach Leuten suchen kann und hiffebtlich irgendwann Multifoto-Posts möglich sind.

No Discoverability
Sorry, but I find this app not worthwhile my time. It is absolutely laughable that you can only use 3 very generic hashtags and that you can search only for usernames. Discoverability is zero. So what use is an app where people can't find you and your stuff? Better stay with Bluesky and Flashes or Mastodon and Pixelfed …

This app is so good, like being on instagram in 2011 but with better photo quality. I’m using it for my analog photos and my favorite part is the way your grid presents your photos uncropped. Also worth mentioning that you don’t see how many followers someone has, another refreshing change.

Eine echte Alternative
Als Fotograf ist die Foto-App eine echte Alternative zu Intergram & Co für mich.
Kein Algorithmus, der andere bevorzugt, Fotos müssen nicht mehr verpixelt werden, wenn Nacktheit in künstlerischer Weise gezeigt wird und jedes Bildformat kann hochgeladen werden und wird auch genauso angezeigt.
Für spätere Release sind auch eine Webversion und weitere Funktionen geplant.
Ich durfte bereits während der Testphase die App nutzen und bin begeistert.
Es ist die App, in der sich Models und Fotografen sehr wohl fühlen können.

Endlich eine App, wie man sie sich seit Jahren als Alternative zu Instagram wünscht. Keine Reels, freie Fotogröße ohne Einschränkungen, gut strukturiert, man kann nach Themen filtern und bekommt seinen Feed wunderbar angezeigt.

Fantastic App
For me, Foto is the future of sharing my images. Might be a little bit bumpy in the first version, but what I‘ve seen so far is fantastic. It’s „just“ images, no ads, no videos, no reels or all the other distractive things. Hope many/all photographers switch to Foto.
