Turning on the TV is possible if your Smart TV supports Wake-on-LAN and if the app has been previously connected to the TV. A physical remote is required for the initial setup. After that, Universal TV Control will handle everything else automatically.

Purchased through the application subscription TV remote app is updated every billing period. To ensure that the subscription is not renewed, you need to disable automatic updating at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription. Auto-update can be turned off at any time in your iTunes account settings.
