Responding to Mayer’s (2015) call for a research-based understanding of how to design multimedia instruction, a team of graduate scholars from Simon Fraser University (Canada) created this interactive, multi-touch eBook. The authors contribute fresh perspectives, critical viewpoints, and original media productions based on theories and research about human learning, framing both the knowns and the unknowns. The primary interest is to better understand the design principles and instructional strategies for multimedia learning across diverse educational contexts in our classrooms, communities, workplaces, and worlds.
