I’ve been introduced to this podcast by my lovely friend Alison. I genuinely thought podcasts were a waste of time and why would you? I now think this particular podcast should come with a warning. Women of a certain age, wear a tenalady (other pads are available). It’s joyful.

This podcast makes me feel like I’m chatting with my pals. Fi and Jane make me laugh but will equally make me frown and disagree with them, then, in the next breath it’s like they read my mind and are saying out loud.

A 55 minute delight every week, even if you don’t agree with every word.

I look forward to hearing these ladies every episode.

Since it joined radio 4 for broadcast it feels much more like woman’s hour extra. That’s not a bad thing, as I listen to woman’s hour too.. but Fortunately was fun because it was fun. Now it’s very serious, and kinda depressing, which has lost my stars

It was like two best mates harassing bbc buddies across the piazza for some gossip or teasing.. now it’s all very bleak

I do! Just love your podcast and have listened pretty much from the start. Rather like the lady who laughs out loud whilst listening to you in the woods - I too laugh out loud anywhere and everywhere.

So - have I got this wrong, because I thought ‘Little Britain’ was meant to be an ironic take on the small mindedness of ( a certain type of British) Britain, the introverted, inward looking, rather ugly, opinionated, somewhat ignorant ‘certain’ view… that’s how I watched the series at the time and am sure the boys pretty much said as much.

I think you’re right, the more benign comedy shows are most likely to be remembered. But I also think it’s interesting to have extreme attitudes put under the microscope to be examined in order to be a discussion point … 🤷‍♀️

I love this Podcast. I suppose ultimately apart from listening to two excellent communicators, talking about the funny, thoughtful and sometimes nitty gritty of life..... it’s just real. I could be sitting in my fave cafe with 2 chums nattering away and by the end have a feeling of time well spent and of simple joy. Thank you Fi, Jane and the team, sanity and quality on the BBC.

I’ve listened from the very beginning. Hilarious, topical, intelligent, comforting. This show has gone from strength to strength. If Jane and Fi stop doing this, my life is over. No pressure.

Just discovered this brilliant, witty, mischievous, convivial podcast with Fi and Jane. What a delight to catch up on the previous episodes, which will keep me thoroughly entertained for 2022 and many laugh out loud moments along the way.

It sounds a touch chaotic till you listen to other podcasts and realise that this level of relaxation, pace and apparent spontaneity is actually due to very experienced skilled and thoughtful broadcasters and good editing.

Your section on men being too macho to have the booster, well I’m a 66 year old woman, un jabbed and successfully relying on my immune system. Don’t be so high handed and arrogant. Maybe people not wanting to have the unsafe vaccine have done a bit of research

Love the show Jane and Fi it has cheered me up on many occasions especially while I am waiting to go into hospital for a new hip and knee - along with many millions of others - I wear big knickers all year round but I know them as Harvest Festival knickers - all is safely gathered in

Just listened to the latest episode of this and am left with the impression that these women really hate men. They have not a positive thing to say about them which is sad, plus they seem to assume everyone's experience of half the human race will be negative, which is absolutely not my experience.

I love this. It’s funny, refreshing, insightful, irreverent and more; I want to be their friend!

Love listening to Fi and Jane make me laugh as well as think about things - hope they keep going!!

Fi and Jane have helped get me through a dark year of Covid 19 and accompanied me on many dog walks. Their chemistry is great and Jane is able to give reign to her sense of humour in a way that wouldn’t have been possible on Woman’s Hour! Fi is a patient and gentle foil to her barbed wit!

I don’t think they read the negative feedback or emails. Getting p*****d off now with the virtue signalling and wokery these two indulge themselves in.. getting worse. A pity.

These two fall over themselves to signal their virtue-ness and in doing so lose any sense of individual thoughts or opinions. From religion (they back tracked very quickly after one guest said they went to church) and Fi’s narrow opinion on Jeremy Clarkson because that’s what media types do, follow popular opinion. Come on ladies, be more brave

While driving home it a joy to listen these wonderful women BUT if you are laughing so much you can’t see it turns into a very bad idea

Quite simply brilliant!

Have been an avid listener since the beginning and have loved the mixture of humorous, irreverent banter and largely interesting guests. The highlight has always been the unscripted musings of Fi and Jane but the recent shift to reading out listeners’ emails is both tedious and ruins what most of us so enjoyed in the first place- an eavesdrop into the lives of both presenters.

This is a superb podcast, two friends chatting away and some really interesting guests. Always manages to make me laugh and so easy to listen to. I wish it could be more than once a week. My favourite podcast. Thank you Fi & Jane. 😂

Last weeks episode with Richard Osman made me laugh out several times. I shared with my daughter who was in need of some levity and she also really enjoyed it. Their honest, hilarious discussions range from the trivial to the transformative and always make me feel a little hopeful for the future. Thank you both

The interaction of Fi with Jane reminds me of a friendship I had some decades ago. I’m catching up on all the episodes I missed - why wasn’t this series ever publicised by Radio 4? As F and J will outlive me by some decadesI look forward to following their banter until I’m carried out feet first. And may I had a few more *****.

Just listened to an episode of this after it was recommended by a friend. I absolutely loved it and am looking forward to catching up on all of the earlier editions. I am so happy to have found this funny, entertaining and uplifting podcast. I stopped listening to Woman’s Hour some time back as I found it just too depressing. This is so much better

I love these ladies. I look forward to catching up with them every Saturday morning whilst going about the everyday chores. Often listening with AirPods/headphones my family are no longer surprised when I suddenly burst out laughing or double over. “It’s ok she’s listening to Fi & Jane again” has become a regular phrase in our household. I’m about to turn 50 you know (mouthed in a Les Dawson way) and a lot of what these girls share strikes a chord with me.
