'I’ve been Sh*thoused Again’ Crouchy’s TNT Woes Continue

Länge: 36:53
On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Peter is in high spirits after a successful weekend has propelled him to the top of the table!
However, with only one point separating first and last place and Paddy Power looking to spice up the forfeit, it is getting as tense as the Premier League title race.
And the lads’ football focus isn’t just on players this week, they also dedicate some time to the recent sh*thousery that was poor Peter’s positioning at a recent TNT game.
Looking ahead to this weekend’s coming games, the lads are giving their predictions for Wolves v Arsenal, Palace v West Ham and Villa v Bournemouth. Let us know your predictions in the comments!
As is fast becoming a tradition on this pod, we also hear from the lovely Susie Dents who addresses a fan question from last week as well as providing a dictionary definition on one of the lads favourite football terms.

You’ve lost me now it’s spreading gambling bets. Takes all the fun out of the banter in my opinion. Maybe works commercially and you maybe ahead of the curve. But I’m out. Thanks for the last few years though it was great fun!! Cheers

This podcast makes me want to join them and have a beer with them. Steve Sidwell has been a great addition to the team and Chris keeps the structure of the podcast whilst Peter Crouch goes through some of his back stories. Now that he is retired though I would prefer that he named names of some of these players in the stories.
I would personally love this podcast to go on tour around the country

Used to listen to this show religiously but it’s been completely ruined by the new format, constant hidden adverts and the repeated unfunny gags and banter that go on far too long and just make it unlistenable m.

Chris Stark has ruined this for me

Have long listened to and enjoyed the pod, but unfortunately the negatives now outweigh the positives.
Bring back Fordyce and sack off Stark.

Used to be the top football podcast mainly thanks to the well driven insight of Tom Fordyce and the behind the scenes look at football from the voice of Peter crouch however, too much input from Chris Stark who thinks he’s still on Radio 1 playing silly games with his radio friends, interruptions that take it too far away from football and of course the painful amount of adverts has made this no longer one of my go to podcasts. Been in steady decline probably since Crouch Fest 2 but that’s just my opinion, occasionally a good guest or topic in the style of how the podcast originally set out “that changing room episode” etc, does make for a welcome return to better form but it’s not just not the same product as the BBC version. Much preferred Statman Dave for again a focus on interesting football stats to interplay with the discussion but Steve “Sids” Sidwell offers very little other than sone very repetitive stories about Mourinho, the rest of his career quite unremarkable.

Best podcast going.

Are used to like this podcast when it was on BBC, but now it is unfortunately a load of rubbish. Full of adverts and pointless chatter. Think they just do the podcast for something to do in the week as usually just making up stuff to talk about for the sake of it. Don’t think I’ll bother listening again.

Used to be good… Poor podcast now

This podcast used to be good back in the day when it was about giving the listeners an insight into the life of a pro footballer with some good banter and laughs thrown in… Now it’s not even close to being that. It’s mainly full of ads and promotions for booze and stuff that nobody wants/needs… And on the off chance that the chat is about a decent topic Chris Stark ruins it with his immature interruptions, silly comments and irrelevant nonsense. Steve Sidwell is pointless on here and doesn’t add anything to it other than more immaturity. Peter Crouch can be a decent listen when he’s in the right frame of mind but too often gets dragged into the immature antics.

just not good anymore

The balance between Crouch, Stark, and Fordyce worked so well in the old podcast. Now it’s just two former footballers bullying a non-footballer, which feels strange after ‘That Peter Crouch Film’ focused so much on how he grew up being made fun of.
Also, sorry to keep mentioning the old podcast, but it’s worth mentioning that ongoing jokes came around naturally from organic conversation (Parched etc), now it’s seems that as soon as something slightly funny is said, they all latch onto it and try and force it into something that it isn’t. “Puddings Is Massive” wasn’t ever funny and had zero legs but for some reason, they decided to spin the narrative that it was “sweeping the nation”…
Also, SO MANY ADS.
I’d recommend the original BBC podcast with Tom Fordyce as it’s still a great listen!
Don’t bother with this though.

This used to be a great podcast, but it’s become one giant brewdog advert with a tiny bit of podcast, and even then it’s the same repeat jokes (puddings is massive etc) with Chris derailling any of the interesting chat by interrupting a guest or making a stupid suggestion.
Real shame the way it’s gone. Brewdog partnership is to this podcast what Elon Musk is to Twitter, absolutely drained it of anything of value and clogged it up with ads. Don’t bother

Meh

Go back and listen to the older episodes, getting a peep behind the curtain into what it’s like being a premier league player and having a laugh about it was great.
Latest shows just utter drivel - unsure who the show is aimed at anymore. Unbelievably Repetitive - they’ve hit the wall in terms of ideas and now just recycle the same in jokes everyweek. A shame.

Crouch is consistently lovely and knowledgable. Stark believes he’s a somebody like the awkward kid a school who realises he’ll get bullied less if he acts like a tool and hangs out with the cool kids. Sids is harmless enough but doesn’t add anything and certainly isn’t an enjoyable companion like Statman was.
Ads take up at least 10 mins of each episode, and the Crouchfest episodes are so badly recorded (is it that hard to set up some ambient mics and mix in crowd reactions?) it’s impossible to listen to.

Adverts is massive

I used to like the podcast but the 15 minute M&S advert sandwiched with other ads will probably be the last time I listen.
I was already struggling with BrewDog taking over much of the content, the 5 minute discussion with M&S about future partnership opportunities, probably was more suited to being off air.
The hosts to are likeable and I want them to make loads of money, but it’s got to the point where I’ve forgotten what this podcast was supposed to be about and as as listener can feel it’s a bit exploitative when content just becomes thinly veiled attempt to constantly sell you something.

Always enjoyable

I don’t drink (anymore) and I don’t go to pubs, but I do enjoy some easy listening football lad chat, fast forward over the ads when needed if you don’t like them, although I will say that even some of those chats can be funny, overall keep up the good work chaps, filling Wembley Arena you’re doing something right 😀Mark W

Now it’s just advertisement, stupid suggestions by Chris that detour the podcast from any context and no structure that allow you to listen without being worried that they’ll be an advert in a second or they’re bringing in brewdog to speak about rubbish beer. It’s the most listened to now out of habit, not because of quality.

Puddings are tragic

Almost made a comeback, but it’s gone even more downhill recently. The in-jokes are so bad and laboured beyond death. Do they really think people are finding the puddings, bbq or pancake chat funny? And the constant ads and Brewdog beer chat is more toxic than the brand itself. It means I’ve switched off well before any mention of football. It’s time to blow the whistle on this lads.

This used to be a 5-star podcast but it is nothing short of absolute trash. If you want to listen to decent content, seek out the old BBC versions.
I have never known a podcast to run a joke to death like this. Pancake, back stronger, chumbuwumba, now puddings are massive. They really need to learn when a joke has been taken too far.
50% of the podcast is just an advert for Brewdog, 40% is them chatting nonsense and the other 10% is genuine football chat. They have clearly run out of things to talk about to the point where Crouchy just repeats himself.
Now that Crouchy (it’s his choice) has decided to become nothing more than a gag to the UK public with embarrassing betting ads or sharing candid details of his and Abbie’s love life, the pod has suffered tremendously as a result.
There is no back stronger this time, this pod is officially dead.

Look, I’m a massive football fan who can’t get enough football chat- , the original crouch episodes were on the money: raw and good stories and well structured, midway in to season 2 I was starting to get abit lost with the Overzealous pursuit on subjects that just weren’t football related, and inside jokes that are frankly dull as dishwater
It seems that they’ve run out of ideas, and a lot of the conversations and originality have hit a cul de sac, not to mention the amount of plugging, and bizarre name dropping that leads to segwaying into setting up a campaign or future “bigger episode” which finally come and flatter to deceive , I’ve stopped listening and I listen to other more interesting and to the point conversations in football podcasts.
I get people want other things from a football podcast, but this is no longer fresh and vibrant, something the original episodes did really well, it’s a shame really cause they’re all likeable people on the show, but it’s forged with try hard off piste jargon.
I’m sorry to say , but the crouch podcast is very very boring

Did anyone listened to the Wayne Bridge podcast before publishing? Hardly hear the conversation. Skipping along the adverts every episode is very annoying I get it if it’s one in the middle for a min but it takes 5 mins at the start, middle and end. used to be one of my favourite podcasts but I think I will be giving it a miss.

I’ve listened on and off to this over the years. It’s not a hugely funny podcast. And definitely not half as funny as they think it is. The constant attempt to make their tedious in jokes go viral becomes very tiring after a while. I only listen now if they’re interviewing someone who interests me.

Can be a good listen at times. Seems to have gone downhill a bit recently though. Can be a bit repetitive talking about the same subjects over and over such as the same old bbq chat which takes up time on most episodes. Also really struggle with Crouchy constantly slurping on his own saliva.

Really fallen off a cliff. This used to be my weekly listen without fail. The last episode had 10 minutes of brewdog adverts at the start, then 10 minutes talking about their favourite bridges. We want more football stories and insights not the immature humour of Chris Stark who has somehow been elevated to the main event. Interviews with other players have kept this season just about ticking along.

This podcast used to be something to look forward to every week, it has been getting mildly worse since Tom left but is now falling off a cliff.
Ok, statman wasn’t a broadcaster like Tom, but Steve Sidwell really has ruined it for me. The whole S.I.D thing and trying to rap?!?
It’s embarrassing.
It’s much more entertaining and funny with just Peter Crouch. Steve Sidwell riding his coat tails and trying to be a lad has taken all of the authenticity out of the podcast. Bring back statman Dave!

Such a shame was a great insight into the world of professional football, dressing rooms and stories told by a likeable man in an honest manner. However…. This is now a self fulfilling prophecy with no balance. Whilst the stories are still there it’s a gruesome slog of self obsessed footballers constantly confirming they live in a world far removed from reality. Bring back Tom Fordyce!!!

Used to absolutely love this before it moved locations… now I’m absolutely sick of the ads. Everywhere we look these days our eyes are assaulted with ads, and now you’ve felt the need to be greedy and monetise your show. Poor decision from what I thought were a bunch of decent lads with good banter, but you’ve showed you’re just like the rest, in it for the money. Gone downhill since Tom left massively… disappointed, thought you had enough money crouchy. Must be skint. And Chris is just an absolute skin crawl brown noser
