Please put guests’ names in the episode descriptions? :)

Hi, I love this show, but I often want to look up the guests and/or read the articles they have published. Please could you put the names of guests (and maybe the names of the articles that you refer to 🙏🏻) in the episode descriptions?
Thank you so much ! 😁

Do you want controversial problems solved with constructive, creative solutions? Then you should listen to this podcast! It really makes you think deeply about various agendas and topics, and they instigate solutions for the world’s biggest questions/issues. They also enforce prominent knowledge and wiseness amongst viewers. The episode “Why is U.S. media so negative?” is extremely interesting and informative. I recommend listening to about 15m, and If you don’t like it, just turn it off. This show is so good! Once you’ve listened to an episode you always want more! I would recommend 10/10. It’s so knowledgeable and wise. I really enjoy it. It brings so much debate and satisfaction when it brings a good -all-summed-up- ending. It just ties it all together. The occasional comedy adds to its irresistible charm. Amazing. No normal human could create this. It’s incredible.

Often interesting, sometimes misleading, sometimes hypocritical

A mixed bag, often a force for good with positive views on the world with constructive solutions, but every now and then they throw a war monger , or CEO of a heinous corporation at you with agendas such as nuclear weapon proliferation, and the hosts don’t or won’t push back. Political bias is also heavily present.
Sometimes, you’ll have an episode such as the brain on pollution, that puts forward weak conclusions based on correlation rather than causation.
Then you’ll occasionally get a real gem, with a thoughtful guest such as the influence episode.
My advice is give each episode 15 mins, and decide if you want to give another 45 mins of your life to it. Often you’ll be satisfied but occasionally turn off and be happy.

Partisan but well researched

Dubner, Duckworth and Levitt are easy to listen to and the message sticks. Fact based and not too complicated. Maybe a bit too “nice”, but you’ll feel good after most of these. Best podcast in their universe is No Stupid Questions. Interesting fact checks.

I don’t always agree with the centrist ideologies they tend to favour, but it's usually a really engaging show. It gives me alternate points of view to contemplate, which I think we could all stand to do a bit more. The host is great! They recently talked about Universal Basic Income..yeah!

I have loved this podcast for awhile and look forward to episodes. I have just upgraded my phone and as a consequence, I have lost the 3 Bad Medicine episodes. Totally gutted. Anytime you can re-run them or make that available again, that would be fab. Love you!

Probably the best podcast of them all.

Very informative, it takes you into a world you would never have thought would be so eye opening. Now take on a whole new look at the world around me. They should play this podcast in schools. I would have taken it far more seriously, instead we just had a stuffy teacher not selling the subject at all.
Highly recommend.

It is about economics or social justice? The line is getting blurry. Economics should be impartial to anything other than facts. Please keep it that way, some episodes are painful to listen to.

I’ve been ok with listening to people monetise their podcasts via adverts and sponsorship, that’s fair and reasonable. Merchandising, crowdfunding, live tours etc. I can get behind all of that, but actually blocking content behind a premium pay wall now? There are few things outside food, care and shelter which should be proactively and freely distributed to a modern, progressive society, but Freakonomics content in all its various forms should be one of those things... A poor choice, especially when the premium pay wall is embedded in an apocalyptically badly written app to add insult to injury... I shall miss you Freakonomics but have to bid you adieu because of financial realities as well as principles.

Brilliant show. Fun and intellectual. I know it sounds like a contradiction but Stephen just makes it happen. In many ways Freakonomics is better than any other podcast I found so far. My son 10 told me to make sure I let the producers know that he loves the theme music (and I do too).

I love this- have been downloading previous episodes- Stephen Dubner applies his intellect without arrogance and his total engagement with economics and how it works in the micro/macro context is addictive. An essential vitamin for the brain.
