Especially when you’re logged into your MTR account, the app loads super slowly. How does this incentivise membership? The app is feature-rich and information-rich, but its performance overshadows this. Hong Kong is a city all about efficiency but this app feels like the complete opposite example of that. MTR’s slogan is “ caring for life’s journeys “ - does the team responsible really think this app reflects that? The team should ask itself this everyday. Every single day.

I have used this app from time to time over the years but after seeing this latest version is jumping on the bandwagon of Covid fear, I’ve just had enough. The “next bus” tap is not functioning after the latest update. It takes forever to load the page, no matter the location services is turned on or not. Please have it fixed, thank you!

No direct input whichever location for current location to destinations stop , reason for hard to use is that you have to understand All railway lines in HK, then choose correct line
Also this editor hard to use too, cannot cut and paste freely and warn you reach max lines input when you really reach max input number of characters.

All reward points disappeared after updating the App

After updating the app, when tried to I login again, system showed no record. Then I needed to create an account and link to the same email and same octopus, however, all my existing reward points has disappeared and become zero!

Thank you for removing that annoying pop up before that always asked for my location! So much easier now when I just want to know the route from station to station. Hope you can also improve the responsive / speed of typing the station names. Still need to wait 3-5 secs after typing each letter, sigh...

The HK mtr system is relatively simple so other navigation apps would probably work better for routing. But other info such as shops and exit info is handy. Unless it requires another 300mb update and you don’t have an unlimited data plan. Very frustrating when it doesn’t let you use the app without updating straight away.

As a travel map, we normally does not use this app everyday. I use it when I’m in a rush. But almost half of the time I use this app, the app request me to update before browsing. It’s so inconvenient.
Also, the MTR station exit info is not clear, especially for TST station. It’s so difficult to check where is the exact location of the exit from the app.

Why ask for precise location each time!!

It’s absolutely annoying that the app asks for turning on precise location for From and To every time. Can’t we check the route/ duration from a point to another while we are not physically there???
Asking once is ok. Definitely not every time please.
