This podcast makes me want to drop everything to become a civil engineer or an architect or run for office in a small town or be the weird person that asks for a funicular in the townhall… it’s awesome.

I’m from Germany and I’ve been listening to this podcast for years. It’s been a joy to be taken on these walks and journeys, to discover worlds hidden behind the most usual things. It takes me back to my childhood, when everything was new and you would be enchanted by fairytales. That’s exactly what this podcast feels like. There’s so much care and love put into these stories.

It’s funny, quite often I read a title of a new episode and think: puh, doesn’t sound interesting, it’s a strange topic, who shall be interested in this? And every single episode is interesting, is widening my knowledge and is just fun. Great stuff guys, I’m so happy I stumbled across 99% invisible by chance.

One of my pandemic discoveries, I came to 99% Invisible pretty late considering, and I don't know how I survived previously without the dulcet tones of Roman Mars chuckling delightfully about some discovery in my life.

I learn so much thanks to this. Romans voice is very comforting and I very much like to listen to him. The stories are thoughtfully prepared.

I’ve been devouring 99pi for years. It is my favorite podcast. I highly recommend it.

I am obsessed with the show’s mini series Articles of Interest. Please turn it into a stand-alone show! I know it would be sad to lose Trufelman from the 99pi team. But the show is phenomenal and deserves a place in the world.

This podcast is so interesting and entertaining. What I like best is that it confronts me again and again with topics I would have never looked into on my own.

If I had only 10 podcast channels to subscribe to, 99 PI would be the the first in the list. Totally recommended if you're a beginner or a podcast geek. The topics introduced by Roman mars are super interesting, provided that his deep voice which cancels all the noises in the surrounding and makes you just listen.

I've been listening to 99pi for a few years now and finally take the moment to review. This podcast is among my top ten and among them, probably had the best content-to-time ratio. The team manages to find and tell amazingly insightful stories in a concise and engaging way that radiates their caring about design and the built environment. Highly recommend!

Design is just the starting point for these great stories about how (wo)man creates his or her surroundings. It is about all aspects of life. I love listening to and learning from Roman Mars. Also, he has a great voice for podcasts.

You tell amazing stories, that is what a podcast should do. But the intellectual value, opening minds up for design (nobody ever believes that I am listening to this)- truly powerful. and of course, the voice, for the voice alone I would listen to whatever you are producing!

I highly recommend this podcast. it covers a variety of interesting topics from a non-obvious angle. i listen to the Show on my way to work and most days it adds a layer to reality and my view of things. The love for design and the interest in the Stories behind the obvious is infectious. I am glad to have found this amazing piece of ear/brain-Food.

Roman Mars has such a great voice and picks really interesting topics to present to you that you wouldn't have heard of otherwise!

I've stumbled across this podcast through another one and was initially a bit sceptic:

How much content can one present in about five minutes?

But as it turned out, five minutes are more than enough to deliver and deliver well.

Wie kann man das nicht hören wollen?

Ninety-nine Percent Invisible presents thoughtful and sometimes utopian design that is not focused on objects like so many design discussions. Like the name implies, the designs presented are less tangible but still aim for impact. Examples include sound design, the design of film trailers, or street art. I find this to be a fresh and intelligent discussion of design where I always look forward for the next episode.

On the technical side, the podcast is well produced, researched and edited and includes a few short endorsement of sponsors that do not distract from the main content. The production includes interviews and typically a few sounds that accompany the story at hand.

I love this podcast. It gives insight to so many little secrets from an interesting point of view. I also really like Romans voice and style to do the podcast.
