Our traditional healthcare systems offer amazing options for acute pain and injury, but for long-term, chronic, and subclinical pain, you’re mostly on your own. It’s more common than not for someone with chronic lower back or knee pain to have absolutely no idea what is wrong or how to fix it, and scans and doctors’ appointments often leave you with no clarity or guidance. In an attempt to fix ourselves, we stretch, strengthen, buy different shoes, and adjust our workstations. Sometimes it works, but sometimes we need more help. 
On this week’s podcast, we meet a physical therapist who focuses on standing posture and walking gait as a functional fix to main chronic pain ailments.

What I love about the Lucas Rockwood show is that the topics are ON POINT.
What I appreciate about Lucas in particular, is that he has the intellect to talk philosophically about ideas, but he always make sure that there is a takeaway for his listeners and therefore that the information provided in the show is practical.
In this show, the host lets his expert guests do the talking, which is so important and actually rare. Lucas has natural interviewing skills that make for easy and enjoyable listening.
My favourite episodes include:

I could keep going as there is a vast body of fascinating work to chose from!

Best health and wellness podcast

Facts, research and amazing guests who really have knowledge to share make this podcast outstanding.
As a personal trainer and yoga teacher I’ve heard and read a lot of BS over the years. People claiming to know it all. This show is very different. Lucas let’s his guests share the latest research on health and wellness, asks the right questions to dig deeper and adds his own carefully researched knowledge. All of this without being dogmatic or religious about food, exercise or lifestyle.
The episode about why muscles matter is my favourite - if you are looking to start somewhere!

Nuanced, non-dogmatic, intelligent exploration of being human. A wide variety of perspectives is shared and contemplated. True experts in their field share scientific research and their own experiences. Humility, openness of mind and heart and unceasing curiosity allow for deep exploration. No one podcast has given me more intelligent, nuanced perspectives on breathing, training, nutrition, self-consciousness and spirituality. It made me reconsider my own views. That’s a rare feat. Like it a lot, learning a lot!

I love this podcast and learn a lot from it, interesting topics sometimes close to sometimes a little further away from traditional yoga but always interesting to me.
Lucas is great and always eager to learn and experiment himself.
