Funny and always true

Vom Inhalt vergleichbar mit "Pelzig hält sich" (ZDF). Hintersinniger, boshafter Humor der vergnüglichen Art. Aktuelle Themen werden diskutiert und gerne auch genüsslich seziert. Gelegentlich wirft Bill Maher einen liberalen Blick nach Übersee und setzt sich damit von den üblichen Gepflogenheiten der US Medienbranche ab.

Je nach Zusammensetzung seiner Gästerunde besitzt diese Sendung Suchtpotential.

Leider wird dieser Audiocast etwas nachlässig gepflegt. "Real Time Overtime" fehlt in letzter Zeit gänzlich, lässt sich aber als Video ohne IP Beschränkung bei "HBO" abrufen. Man sollte aber eine Kurbel für deren Server bereit halten. :-)

How can you be so serious and so funny at the same time? Bill Maher is by far the smartest and most authentic guy in entertainment.

First off, I am German, and English is not my first language so bear with me here. Although RealTime is not available in Germany, I found out about it on YouTube about a year ago and I’ve been watching it ever since. I don’t know any other show in the world which combines politics and comedy as well as RealTime. The show is very liberal but still manages to be objective enough for Republican Senators and Nominees to appear on. What I also like about the show is that Bill Maher doesn’t try to make guests that disagree with him look bad. Shawn Hanity for example, does that all the time (“Answer the question you have 10 seconds gogogogogo”). If I had to describe Maher with one sentence, I would say “Keith Olbermann with a great deal of humor” or “Bill O'Reily with common sense and compassion”.

I was always dissapointed that i was'nt able to receive "Real Time" here in Germany...Now at least i can listen to it. There is just one Problem with this Podcast, it is not loud enough, I have problems understanding it on my european ipod, maybe you can change that!
