In the heart of the 1970s, amid a flurry of feathered hair and flared jeans, Gru (Oscar® nominee Steve Carell) is growing up in the suburbs. I like the rise of gnu because I can see the difference between gnu and the minions because they are good little minions and gnu is not nice because gnu is super mean to the other minions and he has a problem with the mean boy and also being mean is different and also he doesn’t not like the minions and the minions is so cute to meet them and but they do have a problem with the minions again and they try to make friend with him but he doesn’t stand them.

This is a fun family movie, I loved watching it with my kids. If you don’t believe in Zodiacs, I wouldn’t recommend it, but in original its a good show!

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic pushing the release date of this movie to 2022 earlier last month, it was worth the wait for me to go see “Minions 2: The Rise Of Gru”. The prequel that came before made really good money despite its lackluster critical reception, but “Minions 2: The Rise Of Gru” managed to break several records since its release. Hopefully it’ll make more money than its predecessor. In short, I love “Minions 2: The Rise Of Gru”.

Minions The Rise Of Gru is peak minion mayhem and an insanely fun prequel to the Despicable Me film’s. Thoroughly more enjoyable as a whole compared to the Minions solo outing in 2015…with an easy breezy run time of just 1 hour and 22 minutes! Perfect length for kiddos!

I enjoyed this but not to the level of Despicable Me 1-3. The Minions are funny indeed, but they are at their best when interacting with other characters, especially Gru. (My favorite is their friendship with the 3 girls in the original). Although “Minions plus Gru” is present, much of their time is spent without him. Slapstick gags can only go so far. Funny…yes. Hilarious…no.

This piece of modern cinematography is close to the levels of Morbius. It’s that much of a movie. I wore a suit to go see this with the boys, and the fan service they threw in was perfect. The expanded lore really made it feel like more of a experience. Movie/10. I every second of it.
